ROCK HILL, S.C. — A Rock Hill man has been charged with exposing himself to a woman inside a city library after police caught him just minutes after the alleged crime.
Police told Channel 9 that the woman identified 18-year-old Elisha Cornwell as the suspect and police arrested him leaving the library Thursday night.
She said she was sitting upstairs when she noticed a man behind her. He asked her what her name was and approached her with his privates exposed, according to police.
Channel 9 saw Cornwell and his grandmother leaving jail Friday morning. She said he would not behave that way.
"He never did nothing like that. He went to school, he graduated in June. He never did nothing like this," she said.
Cornwell was released from jail on a personal recognizance bond.
