Sheriff's Office: Domestic dispute leaves Taylorsville man in critical condition

TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. — One man remains in critical condition after a domestic dispute Friday night in Taylorsville, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office said.

Alexander County Sheriff’s Office and North Carolina Highway Patrol officers found John Minor, 54, unresponsive when they responded to a domestic dispute call on Lori Lane around 11:30 p.m.

The officers started CPR until EMS transported Minor to Frye Regional Medical Center.

Minor remains at the center in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

Officers arrested David Reames, 53, and Justen Bradey, 29, in connection to the case.

Officers charged Reames with assault inflicting serious bodily injury, and Bradey with assault by strangulation and assault inflicting serious bodily injury.

Both men are scheduled to appear in Alexander County District Court Monday, officials said.
