HICKORY, N.C. — A $10,000 reward is now being offered in an unsolved double murder case nearly seven months ago.
Family members of two cousins who were killed on Mother’s Day raised the money in hopes of finding the person responsible.

The reward is $10,000 for information leading to the identity, arrest and prosecution of the person responsible for the murders of 20-year-old Xzavion Watts and 16-year-old Damarion Sharpe.
Police told Channel 9 the two were inside a car at the gas pumps at the Save More along 1st Avenue SW in Hickory when someone walked up to the car and opened fire.
Police believe the shooter ran off after opening fire. Investigators said the suspect may have been familiar with Sharpe and his cousin and targeted them.
Detectives said this remains an active investigation and they continue to follow up leads in the case.
