HICKORY, N.C. — Hickory firefighters responded to a fire on Saturday morning at the Highway 70 Southeast Walmart.
Firefighters at the scene reported a small fire in the clothing department and smoke in the store.
Using a fire extinguisher, a customer and store employees were able to contain the fire.
Investigators determined the fire was intentionally set and are asking persons with more information on the incident to contact the Hickory Fire Prevention Bureau at 828-323-7522 or the Hickory Police Department at 828-328-5551.
