Some wonder how to know for sure if they’re entered in NC vaccine lottery

IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — Next week, a second person will win $1 million in North Carolina’s vaccine lottery. If you have already gotten the shot, the state says you’re automatically entered -- but how do you know for sure?

One healthcare worker decided to find out.

Paula Gardner told Channel 9′s DaShawn Brown that she reached out to Walgreens where she got her shot, to her local county health department and the state, and she still doesn’t know if her information was entered for the lottery.

“Especially your frontline workers that were right there from the beginning, most of us didn’t question the COVID vaccination. We took it. So, it’s sort of a betrayal that our information is not in there,” Gardner said.

>> In the video at the top of the page, DaShawn went through all of the steps on her behalf, checking with each of the agencies, and says it’s still not clear.
