Southern Environmental Law Center has security breach

NORTH CAROLINA — The Southern Environmental Law Center on Tuesday became the victim of a major Internet security breach in which highly confidential information was taken without consent or authorization, according to a press statement.

SELC has reported the breach to the FBI and claimed that it will take any action necessary to address the breach and the unauthorized release of confidential information.

SELC is a regional nonprofit that was founded in 1986 and works to protect the health and environnment of Southeast Virginia, Tennessee, North and South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama.
