CHARLOTTE — The owner of a south Charlotte shopping center is seeking a court order to evict an Ohio-based taco concept.
Condado Tacos owes more than $79,000 in past rent for a 4,500-square-foot space in Promenade on Providence. A phone number for the restaurant generates an automated message, saying Condado Tacos has permanently closed at that location. Condado opened there in June 2023. The shopping center on Providence Road, between Ballantyne Commons Parkway and Interstate 485, was developed by Childress Klein as part of a joint venture in 1999.
Promenade Shopping Center LLC filed in Mecklenburg County court for summary ejectment of Condado Tacos 50 LLC. The filing also names all other occupants at 10706 Providence Road, Suite 300.
