Teen airlifted to hospital after being struck by vehicle in Indian Land, officials say

INDIAN LAND, S.C. — A 15-year-old was hit by a car Wednesday afternoon on Collins Road near Highway 521 in Indian Land, officials with the Lancaster Fire Department said.

The Indian Land High School student stepped into a Ford F-150 while trying cross the street to go to the QT across from the school.

The teen was conscious and alert and was flown to CMC Main. The teen’s injuries appeared to not be life-threatening.
