The Charlotte area's top private K-12 schools

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The top local private K-12 schools span a vast swath of the Charlotte region, according to a recent set of rankings.

With Charlotte Country Day School in south Charlotte landing atop the rankings, scoring an A+ for its academics, college prep and overall grades, other schools included on the top 20 list can be found farther out in the region. Those include Gaston Day School in Gastonia, Cannon School in Concord, Woodlawn School in Mooresville and Covenant Day School in Matthews, among several others.

Research and review site Niche compiled the rankings on the area’s top private schools, as it did for the best local public elementary, middle and high schools.
