CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Panthers quarterback Cam Newton released a video on his YouTube channel Friday addressing why he’s sidelined.
He said he realized pregame before the season opener versus the Los Angeles Rams that he couldn’t run.
Newton confirmed he’s dealing with a Lisfranc injury, which happens when a bone breaks in the mid-foot or ligaments tear, causing joint instability.
He said he’s doing everything he can to get back. He said whether it's a week or six weeks, he just wants to make sure he’s 100%.
