CONOVER — Three tractor-trailers burned in Conover around 7:30 a.m. Monday.
Investigators said the fire caused more than $100,000 in damage. Firefighters said an employee received first and second-degree burns after opening one of the trailers, which then exploded.
At least one truck was destroyed as flames shot out of the side, and a massive black cloud could be seen coming from the truck.
Three different departments worked to knock down the flames.
The tractor-trailer was parked at Hickory Springs Manufacturing Solutions on Farrington Street.
Firefighters are working to find the cause of the fire.
