BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. — A big rig crashed into a Boiling Springs dorm room while the driver was getting breakfast at a nearby restaurant Monday morning.
A Gardner-Webb University spokesperson said the driver stopped at a Hardee’s just up the hill from the school.

The Case Farms truck rolled right through the walls of Spangler Hall and stopped right next to a dorm room bed. The school said the building is still structurally sound.
Officials said 70 to 80 gallons of diesel fuel spilled inside of the dorm after the crash. Crews are trying to clean it up now.
Authorities have not said what caused the truck to crash into the building.
No injuries were reported.
