UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Troopers are investigating two fatal crashes Monday night in Union County.
First responders were dispatched to Airport Road in Monroe after reports of a motorcycle crash.
The operator of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have not yet identified the man.
No one else was hurt. It’s not clear what led to the wreck.
Troopers are also investigating a single-vehicle crash on Richardson Road in Waxhaw.
Investigators said the driver lost control, which caused the vehicle to overturn and catch fire. One person was killed. The victim’s name has not been released.
