CHARLOTTE — United Airlines is cutting flights citing rising fuel prices caused by the war with Iran.

The airline’s CEO says the flights will be less popular ones, like mid-week and overnight trips.

The company says the price of jet fuel has more than doubled in less than a month.

The CEO claims that could cost United an extra $11 billion this year.
