Waxhaw man told police marijuana plant was a mix-up

WAXHAW — A Waxhaw man is facing drug charges after he told police an alleged marijuana plant in his garden was because of a mix-up with plant seeds.  

Police say a tip led them to Edward Mullen's tomato garden, where they discovered the marijuana.

Investigators said Mullen claimed the plant was a mistake, but they also found drug paraphernalia inside his home.
