STANLY COUNTY, N.C. — West Stanly High School has been placed on lockdown due to police activity in the area, officials said.
School officials confirmed to Channel 9 that the school went into full lockdown at 10:50 a.m.
The lockdown was lifted at 11:36 a.m.
A full lockdown means students and staff are kept in their rooms and will not be allowed in or out.
The superintendent notified parents of the lockdown and after the lockdown was lifted via Robocall.
