Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking teachers to staff Camp CMS, a free, full-day summer experience for K-12 students with in-person learning, Monday through Thursday, plus physical activities and enrichment.

Applicants must be appropriately licensed in North Carolina for the subject areas they would like to teach. Bonus offers include $1,200 for three weeks and $2,500 for six weeks in addition to the teacher’s state salary for all hours worked.

The Carolina Renaissance Festival will return to Huntersville this fall from Oct. 2 – Nov. 21. In preparation for this year’s season, the festival will hold open auditions on June 19 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Cannon School at 5801 Poplar Tent Rd., in Concord.

Carowinds plans to hire 500 additional workers to meet anticipated guest demand for the 2021 season. Job opportunities are available in all park operating areas, including food and beverage, merchandise and games, operations, safety and security, and at the park’s hotel, SpringHill Suites Charlotte at Carowinds.

The park recently announced it has raised starting pay for seasonal workers to $15 per hour for the 2021 season. In addition, Carowinds offers flexible schedules and many perks for its associates, including discounts, reward and recognition programs, exclusive events and free admission to any Cedar Fair park.
