CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — A woman in Catawba County is accused of a deadly shooting Monday morning inside a home north of Conover.
Police charged Brittney McCleave with murder after they said she shot a man at the Lyle Haven mobile home park just after midnight.

Investigators said the two lived together and that there were two children younger than 10 inside the home when the shooting happened.
Police said McCleave called 911 immediately after pulling the trigger and told the dispatcher she had shot someone inside the home.
No other details about the crime have been released.
