Woman reported man with pants down Monday at Harris YMCA

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — People working out Wednesday night at the Harris YMCA might be looking over their shoulder.

On Monday, a woman reported seeing a man with his pants down.

This comes four months, after two back-to-back incidents of men exposing themselves in this same area near the track.

“Safety is our top priority at the Y, and we're committed to keeping our members safe,” said Jen Wendy with the YMCA.

Wendt said after the previous problems, they increased security.

“We really stepped up security on the track specifically staff and facility that patrol the track and parking lots to make sure everything is safe,” Wendt said.

YMCA officials are urging members to run during daylight hours and with a buddy. They said at night, members should use the indoor track or treadmills and always report problems.

“If someone notices suspicious activity call 911 and come inside and let us know,” Wendt said.

No arrests have been made in the incident.
