Woman says she was attacked near ASU campus

BOONE, N.C. — High Country Crime Stoppers and Appalachian State University Police Department seek the public's assistance in solving the following crime:
 
ASU police are seeking information after a woman said she was attacked around 1:30 a.m. Saturday on Hill Street near the John Thomas building.
 
The woman, who is not an ASU student, said a white man hit her in the back of the head causing her to fall face first onto the pavement. She was taken to Watauga Medical Center to be treated for her injuries.
 
She said the man had a blond crew cut hair style.
