MORGANTON, N.C. — A woman was rushed to the hospital Wednesday morning after a crash with an ambulance trapped her inside her car.

The accident happened at North Green Street and Sanford Drive in Morganton.
Officers said the Burke County ambulance was heading to a medical call with its lights and sirens on when it hit a car.

The impact knocked the car into a truck nearby, pinning the driver.
Emergency officials immediately got out of the ambulance to assist her.
There is no word on the condition of the driver.
