CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — Two local business women left for the White House on Thursday.
The owners of Amelie's French bakery in Charlotte's NoDa neighborhood are participating in a conference on growing small businesses on Friday.
Amelie's grew from five to 70 employees in just the last three years.
When Channel 9 talked to them last month about the invitation to the White House, the owners said they'll talk about how businesses can be active in helping their communities.
