Police Arrest 2 In Hickory Motel Meth Bust

HICKORY, N.C.,None — Hickory police arrested two men that had methamphetamines after investigating a suspicious vehicle parked at the Deluxe Inn on Wednesday.

Officers questioned the man sitting in the parked car around 2 a.m. and he told police he was waiting on a friend who was visiting his girlfriend.

Police said when the man emerged from the hotel room, police questioned him and he gave police a different story.

Police searched that man, Bryan Bordeaux, 33, from Hickory, and found .4 grams of meth worth an estimated $160. Bordeaux was arrested and charged will felony possession of a controlled substance.

Officers received a warrant to search the room Bordeaux had visited and found six bags containing 3 grams of meth worth an estimated $1,200.

Police arrested Timothy Shawn Byrd, 33, of Connelly Springs, and charged him with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and distribute controlled substances and possession of drugs.

Byrd was jailed with bail set at $7,500.
