CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two people, including a security guard, were stabbed early Thursday morning at an uptown Charlotte Greyhound station, police said.
Officers were called to the Greyhound station on West Trade Street around 4 a.m. and found two people who had been stabbed, one of them a security guard.
"This is the last place I would expect it to happen," Anthony Cheeseboro, a passenger heading to Columbia, South Carolina, said.
Investigators said the stabbing happened in the restaurant part of the terminal, passengers said.

The security officer is expected to be OK, but the other person suffered serious injuries after being stabbed in the neck, officials said.
A witness told Channel 9 that the officer told a man that he was not allowed inside the terminal because he did not have a ticket, the man stabbed the two victims.
Buses were scheduled to leave on time and many people told Channel 9 that they couldn't believe what had happened.
"It's a Greyhound. He could have taken it somewhere else or just left, you know? He didn't have to go this far. Really, that's crazy," Cheeseboro said.
Police have not charged anyone in the crime.
Greyhound released the following statement:
"We are fully cooperating with local authorities and conducting an investigation of our own to determine exactly what happened. The safety and security of our customers is our core value and we strive to provide safe transportation for those who rely on our service. We have a zero tolerance policy with regard to prohibited items, such as weapons, firearms and alcohol, as well as aggressive, unruly or inappropriate behavior. Loitering also is not permitted as our terminals are private property. When a Greyhound employee or security guard is made aware of such behavior, they are trained to remove the individual from the terminal. If they feel that it is unsafe to remove the individual themselves, they will contact the local authorities for assistance."
