SALISBURY, N.C.,None — Police are looking for a person of interest in connection with an early-morning home invasion in which a man was bitten and shot.
Salisbury police were called to a home on Dan Street at about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday after a man came in through the back door. Jeffery Summers and his sister, Margi Summers, were home at the time, police said.
The man bit Jeffery Summers in the shoulder and Margi Summers on the wrist, police said. He then shot Jeffery Summers twice in his upper leg and hip area and fled, according to police.
Summers was taken to Rowan Regional Medical Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said 22-year-old Timothy McCain Jr. (pictured in an old mug shot) is a person of interest in the case. Police ask that anyone with information about his whereabouts call 704-638-5333.
