CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Nearly 400,000 fans will fill Uptown Charlotte for the 18th annual Food Lion Speed Street Festival.
The event runs from Thursday until Saturday evening.
Speed Street provides entertainment with appearances from racing's biggest stars, live concerts, and various corporate sponsored activities.
The 600 Festival Association has celebrated the May races at Charlotte Motor Speedway for more than 25 years.
Past celebrity appearances include NASCAR Hall-of-Famers Richard Petty and Junior Johnson. Grammy Award winning Pat Benatar and country music superstar Jason Aldean have also performed.
Food Lion Speed Street will commemorate its 18th year with performances from famous country musicians Easton Corbin and Justin Moore, and classic rockers Night Ranger and Loverboy will take to the stage Saturday evening.
Current NASCAR drivers Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman, Kyle Busch, and Brad Keselowski will also be available for autographs.
Interactive activities like the Food Lion Kids' Zone hosted by General Mills provide family entertainment.
Attendees will have the opportunity to win a chance to meet Dale Earnhardt Jr. by competing in the daily Hellmann's Recipe Challenge.
The NASCAR Hall of Fame will also remain open to provide a historical experience honoring the heritage of racing.
