Looking for a fun and free event for the family this weekend? Stop by the Sunset Jazz Festival at Symphony Park near SouthPark Mall from 2 - 9 p.m. on Saturday, September 14.
The festival was created 22 years ago to give back to the Charlotte community. The outdoor portion of the festival remains free and local and regional jazz groups are traditionally showcased. The event attracts thousands of people from all walks of life who gather with friends and family to enjoy great jazz entertainment in the park.
This year, Eric Phillips and Trish Williford from Channel 9 Eyewitness News will serve as emcees. Featured performers include saxophonist Dante Lewis, Groove 8, Bam-Jazz, Los Trabucos and Robyn Springer.
