SHELBY, N.C.,None — The familiar face of a Shelby restaurant is missing.
The owner of Dayne's Shingle Shack reported the "big boy" statue was stolen Thursday from his restaurant on Fallston Road.
The statue is an icon character for the Big Boy Restaurant and this one has been displayed outside of Dayne's Shingle Shack for years The statue is valued at $3,000.
Big Boy has been stolen twice before as a graduation prank, but was returned undamaged.
