TRACKING: Spotty showers set to arrive for morning commute

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Wet morning: Steady rain may take a break at times Tuesday morning, but rain chances will stay high overall through the afternoon. This, combined with a breezy northeast wind, will keep temps held close to near 50 degrees all day.

Looking ahead: More downpours are likely Wednesday and if temps can warm to the low-to-mid 70s, some stronger storms are possible (strong winds will be the primary threat). Much drier weather returns as we head into Thursday, lasting through Halloween.
