Police: Man shot in head after being followed from San Antonio bar

SAN ANTONIO — A Texas man was shot in the head on Saturday after he was followed while driving away from a bar after an argument, authorities said.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, the 26-year-old man was shot at about 2:26 a.m. CST, KENS-TV reported. Police were responding to a reported shooting at a martini bar when a call came in about the motorist shot nearby, according to the television station.

Police said the victim and several suspects got into an argument at the bar, WOAI-TV reported. When the victim decided to leave, he said he noticed the suspects following him, according to police.

Police said that several shots were fired at the victim’s car, and he was struck in the head, KENS reported. The man pulled his vehicle to the side of the road and called the police.

Officers searched the area, but the suspect, who was driving a silver Mercedes-Benz, could not be located, KSAT-TV reported.

The victim was taken to an area hospital and was listed in stable condition, according to KENS.

Police said no arrests have been made. An investigation is ongoing.
