CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are investigating a domestic violence incident that left a woman in critical condition. The incident occurred Saturday night on O'Hara Drive.
Emanee Womack, 34, was taken to Carolinas Medical Center for what doctors called domestic violence related injuries. Her boyfriend, Sharrondon Adams, 31, said they got into an argument and he pushed her.
She then fell and hit her head.
He said they left and went to West Boulevard where they continued arguing and Womack fell into an unconscious state.
Medics arrived and took Womack to CMC.
Adams has been arrested and charged with assault, inflicting serious bodily injury.
Police are continuing to investigate this incident.
