Former Clemson, East Carolina running back drowns in Georgia lake

ELBERT COUNTY, Ga. — A former running back for the Clemson Tigers was found drowned in a lake in Georgia on Friday, according to local news sources.

The Elbritton (Ga.) Journal reports Tyshon Dye, 25, drowned while swimming at the Richard B. Russell State Park.

Dye played three seasons for the Tigers in mainly a backup role, netting five touchdowns and 351 yards of total rushing in that time.

He transferred to East Carolina University where he rushed for more than 200 yards in his lone season with the Pirates in 2017.
