Former Clemson QB Tajh Boyd arrested on assault charges

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Greenville police have charged former Clemson star quarterback Tajh Boyd with assault and battery, according to an arrest warrant.

The incident happened on July 14 at On the Roxx, a nightspot located on South Main Street in Greenville.

A man working the front door at the business said he told Boyd that he couldn't come into the bar because it was at full capacity.

An incident report states that Boyd began to argue, and pushed the victim on the ground causing him to knock over a woman.

Boyd eventually left the scene.

He turned himself in Tuesday after being contacted by police, Greenville police said.
