Next, contact the authorities. You want to file an accident report for your records, and then start to document exactly what happened in the accident. Write down details, take photographs of the damage, and get the names and contact information of any witnesses. Take down the information of the other driver and give them yours – name, contact info, license plate, vehicle information, insurance information, etc..
