Carolinas' Carrousel Parade Alternate Routes

None — The Belk Carolinas' Carrousel Parade will close 15 streets in Uptown Charlotte on Thanksgiving Day.  Street closures begin at 6 a.m. and will continue through early afternoon.  For information about parking and where to watch the parade, click here.

TRYON ST. will be closed between the Church St. connector (near the Brookshire Freeway, just north of Uptown Charlotte) and Morehead St.  Tryon St. will close in stages, with the section between Martin Luther King Blvd. and Stonewall St. closing at 6 a.m.  The section between the Church St. connector and 9th St. will close at 8 a.m., and the remainder will close at 9 a.m.  Church St. and College St. will remain open but will be congested with parade traffic.  Use Caldwell St., Brevard St., or Graham St. as alternate routes traveling north-south through Uptown Charlotte. 11th ST. will be closed between Church St. and College St. starting at 8 a.m.  From the Brookshire Freeway, use the College St. exit as an alternate route.  From North Tryon St., use 16th St. to Parkwood Ave. (right) to Caldwell St. (continue straight) as an alternate route onto 11th St. ALL OF THE CROSS STREETS ALONG TRYON ST. IN UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, including Stonewall St., Martin Luther King Blvd., 3rd St., 4th St., Trade St., 5th St., 6th St., 7th St., 8th St., 9th St., and 10th St. will close by 9 a.m. between Church St. and College St.  Use the I-277 loop (Brookshire Freeway and John Belk Freeway), Morehead St., or 12th St. as alternate routes traveling east-west (from one side of the parade route to the other) in Uptown Charlotte.
