How Cotton & Clay Co. went from boho baby line to beautiful accessories biz

As a new mom, Phoebe Vinson was looking for a healthy alternative to plastic teethers for her son when she took matters into her on hands. The criminal justice graduate decided to start making macramé teethers and soon, she was selling them to local moms.

She enjoyed working with clay so much that she started making clay earrings, as well.

"I started showing them to other local moms who bought my teethers and they were like, 'Oh, you should sell those,’” she said.

That was two years ago but you can’t tell it by looking at her creations; you’d think she’s been making clay earrings her entire life.

Check out the video above to hear more of Vinson’s story and see how she creates her unique pieces for her Cotton & Clay Co. accessory line.
