Allegro Foundation Ambassador's Ball In January

CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — The 2011 Ambassador's Ball benefiting Allegro Foundation . . . Champion for Children with Disabilities epitomizes what many are just now learning in this post-recession era: collaboration through multiple business avenues is the nonprofit industry's best protector against financial instability and strongest ally for mutual growth.

In a celebrated collaboration, Mr. Felix Sabates' Mercedes-Benz of South Charlotte Dealership will open its doors on January 22, 2011 to welcome Ambassador's Ball Honorary Chair, His Excellency Ambassador of Ecuador to the United States, Luis Benigno Gallegos Chiriboga, and 250 guests to raise money for Allegro Foundation's free movement education programs for children with disabilities in Charlotte. This year's featured Ambassador from Ecuador is particularly exciting as Mecklenburg County has a large Hispanic population.

As Ambassador's Ball Host and successful businessman Felix Sabates describes, "Allegro Foundation is truly an independent organization. They are not a United Way agency or an Arts & Science Council Affiliate, and while Allegro benefits from many successful partnerships with Charlotte-Mecklenburg public schools and local hospitals, they do not receive funding from either entity. Allegro is a catalyst for growth in the business community".

As purse strings are tightened and budgets dwindle, businesses have begun to cooperate with one another to support the amazing work of local non-profit organizations such as Allegro Foundation. In doing so, Allegro Foundation receives funding to continue their free movement education programs for children with disabilities, and businesses are able to build connections with others.

Allegro Board Member and Senior Private Banker of Ambassador's Ball Platinum Presenting Sponsor Wells Fargo Private Bank, John Muller explains, "The Ambassador's Ball week may only last three days, but our investment will have a long-term impact on the lives of thousands of children with disabilities and the economic climate of our great city."

In a combined effort, Rick and Diane Siskey of Wall Street Capital, Diamonds Direct and Zebra Restaurant have teamed up to host Allegro's annual "Ambassador's Feast", the official pre-party to the Ball.

Party Reflections and Extravaganza Events & Props share resources to ensure a beautiful backdrop for patrons to "An Evening in Ecuador" with floral arrangements created by Cotswold Florist. In much the same way, Diamonds Direct, Perry's and Tiffany & Co., all from the SouthPark area, will provide a stunning array of jewelry for auction to benefit Allegro Foundation at the Ball. Delicious cuisine provided by Luce Ristorante and Ruth's Chris Steak House will feature the combined talent of chefs from different restaurants working side-by-side.

Charlotte's top business executives are also scheduled to attend a luncheon hosted by His Excellency Ambassador Gilles Noghès under the patronage of his Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco to facilitate further business connections.

Mimi Fitz, Chair of Allegro's Ambassador's Ball, emphasizes the importance of attracting international commerce to North Carolina, citing "the nearly 1,000 foreign-owned firms that employ more than 50,000 Charlotteans." Allegro welcomes delegates from countries across the world to come to Charlotte to learn how to use Allegro's movement education techniques for their children with disabilities.

Allegro's second annual Ambassador's Ball provides a venue to highlight these new partnerships formed from businesses as they work together to raise money for Allegro's children with disabilities.
