YORK COUNTY, S.C. — A woman who was killed in a head-on crash Friday in York County has been identified, officials said. Two others were also hurt in the crash, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
A driver of a vehicle crossed the yellow line into oncoming traffic around 4:30 p.m. on Highway 21 at Dot Faris Road in Rock Hill.
The driver, who swerved into the opposite lane, Vanessa Smith, 20, died in the collision, troopers said.
Two people in the other car were taken to a hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this point.
