1 seriously hurt in southeast Charlotte house fire

CHARLOTTE — One person was seriously hurt in an overnight house fire in southeast Charlotte Monday.

It started around 10:30 p.m. at a home on Richard Barry Drive, according to Charlotte Fire. It took 30 firefighters to put it out.

One person was treated and taken to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries, MEDIC said.

Crews are investigating the cause of the fire.
