A Charlotte-based National Guard unit arrived home on Saturday after helping to put out a massive Arizona wildfire.
The 145th Airlift Wing flew into Charlotte-Douglas.
Eyewitness News was with them when they left last week with their specially-equipped firefighting C-130 planes.
They helped battle the Yarnell Wildfire that killed 19 members of an elite firefighting squad, including one from Ashe County.
