15-year-old girl with special needs found after disappearing

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police and Charlotte firefighters searched for a 15-year-old special needs girl in north Charlotte for three hours.

Molly Bentley disappeared around 3 p.m. Monday at her home on Shining Oak Lane. It's a neighborhood near Eastfield and Prosperity Church roads.

Molly was found safe around 6 p.m.

Molly is described as white/Hispanic with brown hair and brown eyes. She wears black-framed glasses and is about 5 feet 1 inch tall with a medium to heavy build.

Molly was wearing a white shirt and blue shorts and may be carrying a black bag. She may also be wearing a red Wisconsin sweatshirt.
