CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Five people were injured, three seriously, in a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning near Charlotte’s Elizabeth neighborhood, officials said.
Officials said the crash happened shortly after 10:30 a.m. near the intersection of East Independence Boulevard and Hawthorne Lane.
Medic said five people were taken to Carolinas Medical Center -- three with life-threatening injuries and two with minor injuries.
Channel 9 is asking officials what caused the crash.
