Atrium Health, Novant gain approval for hospital expansion projects

CHARLOTTE — Charlotte’s largest health-care providers were recently approved for multiple hospital expansion projects in Mecklenburg County.

Atrium Health has the go-ahead to add a total of 108 beds, according to state filings. Those expansions are spread across three facilities.

Another 15 beds were awarded to Novant Health’s Presbyterian Medical Center.
