CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Atrium Health has opened a two-part medical plaza in midtown, its latest investment in the central Charlotte area.
Kenilworth Medical Plaza I and II are at Kenilworth Avenue and Harding Place, less than a mile from Carolinas Medical Center. The five-story, 400,000-square-foot project is a $228.1 million investment. There are more than 250 exam rooms. It houses cardiovascular care, neurosciences, gastroenterology, pulmonology, urology and palliative care, among other services.
The plaza, which opened April 5, relocates and expands some services while also bringing in new ones. The multispecialty setup can advance care by eliminating silos among specialties, said Dr. Scott Lindblom, senior medical director of Atrium’s adult medical specialties division.
