PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. — The Pawleys Island Police Department reported that some good Samaritans, officers and firefighters helped save a 2-year-old girl from drowning Saturday, WCIV reported.
Police said the incident happened near the south inlet of Pawleys Island.
Officials said there has been no update released about the child but officers said they “pray for a full recovery.”

Pawleys Island Police Department and Midway Fire Rescue responded to the scene.
On Friday, authorities said two people drowned in Horry County in two separate incidents. Officials said both victims got stuck in rip currents along the coast.
