YORK COUNTY, S.C. — The Catawba Bend Preserve in York County is closer to completion.
Crews have been working on the $21-millon project for nearly a decade.
The 1,900-acre former timber tract is opening in phases with trails and trees first.
Camping, event areas, mountain biking, and paddling launches will come later.
