Charlotte-area Hispanic population surges 22% in four years

CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte area’s Hispanic population is experiencing significant growth.

In the past four years, it has increased by a combined 22% in at least seven counties.

Census data shows Mecklenburg County has the highest Latino population.

That data spanned from 2020 to last July, according to the Charlotte Observer.
