Charlotte kids set new world record for largest coloring page

CHARLOTTE — A group of kids across Charlotte are now world record holders because of a page they colored with crayons on Wednesday.

At Crayola IDEAworks in Camp North End, the kids broke the world record for largest coloring page. They used crayons to color a 1,040-square-foot page that is a picture of the Queen City. That broke the previous world record held by a company in the Netherlands, who colored a 770-square-foot page.

“What makes ours so special is that it blends the city of Charlotte and Crayola IDEAworks into one unique, special piece,” said Kevin Britton with Crayola IDEAworks.

Crayola IDEAworks will be in Camp North End until the end of the month.
