CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The city of Charlotte is expected to find out in the next few weeks whether it will become the country's 30th city with a Major League Soccer team.
Local leaders have been pushing for this for months now and this could be huge for Charlotte, but they have a lot to get done first.
Council members haven't publicly discussed a $100 million request from Panthers owner David Tepper, but our sources said a potential vote on incentives could happen before a new council is sworn in next month.
