CLOVER, S.C. — A Clover officer is facing charges after being accused of assaulting a man he arrested.
Jerry Polson, 31, is accused of throwing the man across the booking area at the York County Detention Center.
In February, Channel 9 reported a Clover officer was under investigation by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division after someone from within law enforcement reported him for misconduct.
Polson was charged with third-degree assault and battery.
He was booked Thursday.
